Privacy Policy

Orrin ("we," "our," or "the app") is an AI tool that connects to Slack and Linear to answer operational questions about your team. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.

What We Collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and profile picture from Google sign-in.
  • Slack data — messages from channels you explicitly add Orrin to, channel names, and basic user names, so Orrin can answer questions about your team's conversations.
  • Linear data — issue titles, descriptions, statuses, and assignees from your connected Linear workspace.
  • Usage data — questions you ask Orrin and basic product analytics (e.g. sign-ups, connections made), used to improve the product.

How We Use It

  • To answer your questions by analyzing your connected Slack and Linear data using AI.
  • To show you which messages or issues informed each answer (source citations).
  • To improve Orrin based on real usage patterns.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your Slack or Linear content to train third-party AI models beyond the single request needed to answer your question.

Third-Party Services

Orrin uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Google (sign-in)
  • Slack (message and workspace data, only for channels Orrin is explicitly added to)
  • Linear (issue and workspace data)
  • Google Gemini and Groq (AI processing of your questions and connected data, to generate answers)
  • Sentry (error monitoring) and PostHog (product analytics)

Your Control

  • You can disconnect Slack or Linear at any time from the Connect page — this deletes the associated synced data from our database immediately.
  • You can log out at any time, ending your session.
  • To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. Access tokens are used only to fetch the data needed to answer your questions and are never shared with anyone outside the services listed above.
